The day in London

Hello...

Today for us it was a very important day, because we saw London for the first time. The difference of the italy and england, there are many green spaces and many monuments.there are many tall monuments and the people who work in the museums are very smart. We went to the Bukingham Palace, the thing that we surprise more was the changing of the Guard, because in our country we have never seen this spectacle. It gave me a special feeling because I couldn't believe I was watching this spectacle. In this country there is a more elegance. After we went to Big Ben ,which is the big clock above the Houses of Parliament. we went to Trafalgar Square, it was very crowded, there are many international people(lots of italian!).We ate the food that we takeaway of McDonald. If you go to the Trafalgar Square you can see Nelson's Column. We took a photo of students in the lion's mounth. Finally we went to Piccadilly Circus and we saw the statue of Eros. The next saturday we will see more of Picadilly Circus, because the time is finished.Stay in England it's a dream for me,I still don't believe it!

Can you describe the spectacle of Changing of the Guard in more detail? What happened? How did it look? What were the soldiers wearing? What was the reaction of the people watching? What is your opinion of this tradition? Do you think it is impressive, exciting - or a bit silly and just for tourists? Was Buckingham Palace the way you had imagined it? Do you think it is a beautiful building, or an ugly one......? Why?

What did you learn from Will about the places that you saw in London? What was your personal impression of the city? Is it like Rome or Naples, or different? In what ways? Dorothy
